Nowadays, when I am finished using it, I unplug the tablet, loosely wrap the cord, and set it in a convenient but out of the way spot on my computer desk.

As with passwords, your pre-shared key should have random numbers, alphabets and characters. Since you do not have to remember your pre-shared key and will be prompted for it on the router and computer once, make it as hard to guess as possible. However, do not forget to save it in a text file on your computer or write it down because you will need it for adding other computers to your wire less network!

• Make sure to disable the SSID broadcast once the router and wireless network have been configured. This will stop random people from being tempted to tap into your wireless network.

• It is a good idea to keep updating your wireless router's firmware from time to time since it will help secure your wireless network.
